What a fantastic start to the 2009 baseball season last night!!! Our team has moved up to the Major League now (we are the Tampa Bay Rays this year) and there are a few new rules. One being you must slide into base if there is a play at that base. If you don't you are automatically out. Fortunately most of our guys LIVE to slide into base!! Anyway, we got to the field and found out we were playing 6th graders! Well our team wasn't going to let that stop them...and we won 9 to 4. Adam had an awesome catch in center field, scored from second base and drew a couple walks. We were so proud of him and even though we have 3-4 games a week from now until the end of June, we are looking forward to a fun season!
This year all our games will be played at Rotary Park.
