3rd Grade Winter Musical

Thursday night we went to the 3rd grade musical at Dubois. There were several speaking parts, but Adam prefers to sing with the chorus. He did great - we were very proud of him! This picture only shows one side of the stage, but only about 1/3 of the classes showed up to sing. Wonder if the 5 degree weather had something to do with that???

St. Louis Science Center

Yesterday, we met our friends the Kreidlers at the St. Louis Science Center. We had never been there before so it was fun exploring all it had to offer. The biggest hit was the very real looking T-Rex in the middle of the place. The discovery room was geared toward the kids, but the adults enjoyed it too I think!

Princess Party

Last Sunday, Emily went to her friend Paige's birthday at Little Princess Wishes. Let's just say there was a lot of laughing, crying, singing and dancing!

Sump Pump Disaster

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile, but our sump pump went out 2 weeks ago and our entire lower level got soaking wet. Needless to say, we had to bring everything upstairs and got the water restoration people here to dry us out. Our lives are back to normal (well...as normal as they can be anyway!) Thanks for your patience!!

America's Next Top Model(s)

Today the kids modeled in the 2008 Bridal Show at the Crowne Plaza, sponsored by WDBR. They both did fantastic, but it was definitely more Emily's "thing" than Adam's. She got to model 3 different dresses, so we had some quick changing to do, and also got her hair and make-up done by BJ Salon. There were 2 shows, one at 12:00 and one at 3:00, but they gave us lunch and we got to relax a little in between shows. It was a long day, but Emily's ready to do it all again already! We are very proud of our little superstars!

Here are a couple of videos and pictures from the show. Click on the black triangle twice to watch the videos. The first one is just Emily, the second one is of them both.

Move over Heidi Klum!!!

Christmas in Wheaton

I forgot to post about our Christmas with the Russell's last weekend. The kids were so excited to open their presents! Colleen made a wonderful dinner of beef stroganoff and even baked a cherry pie. Since they still had plenty of snow, we took the kids sledding Sunday morning. Murphy (the dog) went too and had a blast chasing them down the hill on their sled. It may be March before we are up again (for Ethan's birthday!), but hopefully we'll see them before that! The boys played a lot of video games, but did actually play Big Trouble together. Emily let Kelsey put make-up on and paint her nails. She even let Auntie curl her hair! She looked adorable!

A fun morning of sledding. Thank goodness it wasn't too cold out!

Emily "Bowling Queen" Powers

Just in case you don't believe me...the picture below is our daughter (the 5 year old!) with her highest score in Wii bowling. You will notice she got 5 strikes in a row, which she claims is because she is 5. Adam's high is 201, so he's a man on a mission now...to beat his sister's record!
