This past Saturday was National World Wide Day of Play. Here in Springfield, the American Heart Association sponsored a Day of Play at the Nelson Center. Janet and I took our kids to it from 10-2. They participated in almost all of the "stations" including a bicycle obstacle course, nature walk, jump-roping, kickball, disc golf, soccer, shuffleboard and ice skating. The animal rescue squad was also there with several of their dogs for us to pet. They also had a lizard, turtle and snake on display. Emily was the first one to pet the snake (ewwww!) It was also her first time on ice skates...and she did great...didn't fall down once! It was a fun day of play for all of us!

I'm glad you posted some pictures! Paul was talking about eliminating the powers link from our blog for lack of activity! :)
By the way, love Emily's jacket!
Also, when are we going to see you guys in St. Louis???
Does Emily know her Aunt Stephanie used to be a good ice skater? Dad would take me to Lake Ruth in Macomb and I would skate every day in the winter when he would go to run!
Looks like she had a great time!
Every day should be world wide day of play day!
