BROWNIE CAMP OUT

The last weekend in January, Emily and I particiated in the Browne Camp out at the Girl Scout Camp Widji. We stayed in the Lodge, which was very cozy with a nice big fire place, kitchen, heat and best of all...indoor plumbing. The girls did a relay race with their sleeping bags, played games, cooked hot dogs for dinner and then smores before bed. I was amazed how well they all got along - no fights the entire time! The next morning we made breakfast, and then the girls learned how to tie some knots. Emily was one of the first ones to figure out the knots and enjoyed helping the other girls learn too. We really enjoyed it there and I had a great time with my best girl!

SLEDDING!

Our first BIG snowfall of the year we bundled up and headed to Pasfield Park Golf Course (which has the best sledding hills)! Emily wasn't sure she wanted to go, but ended up going down a few times on her new purple sled and had a great time! Even Dad made a few runs down the hills!

NEW YEARS WITH THE RUSSELL'S

We spent New Year's Eve in Wheaton with our favorite family members the Russell's! After an awesome fondue dinner (with meat, chicken, veggies and cheddar cheese, bread and swiss cheese) we played some games, danced in the basement and then made our traditional chocolate fondue at 11:00 (with marshmellows, cherries, pineapple, pound cake and bananas). Just before midnight we shot off fireworks off the back deck. Murphy kept wanted to eat the fireworks as they fell to the ground, so we had to keep in him in the house! The next day I took the girls to the Mall for a little shopping, then we watched movies and enjoyed just hanging out!

MERRY CHRISTMAS 2010

We spent Christmas Eve and all day/night on Christmas Day at Grandma's house. Went to candlelight service, came home and watched A Christmas Story, had some peppermint ice cream and then waited for Santa.

Waiting patiently to pass out presents!

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

We spent Thanksgiving at Grandma's this year. She and Rob did a wonderful job on the turkey, along with all our favorite traditions, wild rice, mashed potatos, stuffing, green beans, dinner rolls, and pumpkin pie! We played games, watched football and had a super relaxing day together!
